Ask Permission: Courtesy, Nice..
Tip # 24 Contributed By: Caregiver Josephina

For Mother\'s Day, we (safety) pinned our resident Moms with a beautiful orchid. But I did not take their acceptance for granted. I find it is important (and courteous) to ask for permission and to get eye contact before serving and spoiling the seniors in my care. Many times, I will reward cooperation with tender physical touch - a gentle squeeze of the hand or a kiss on the cheek.
